Sand sits on the outside — it doesn't get into the fill, because the EPS microbeads are sealed inside a zippered inner liner. Shake it off at the car. When it needs a real clean, unzip the outer cover, pull it right off, and wash it.
Because the real comparison isn't another cushion — it's what you do right now. A rolled-up towel that flattens in ten minutes. A backpack that digs into your spine. Or a beach chair that works beautifully and stays in the garage half the time because nobody wants to carry it.
And this one weighs almost nothing — which is the whole point. Comfort you leave at home isn't comfort. It's built in two layers with a removable, washable cover, so it lasts seasons rather than one summer. If it buys you three extra hours at the beach ten times a year, that's about a dollar an hour. And if it isn't for you, there's a 30-day return window.
Not that we've found, and we looked hard before making it. Beach chairs solve comfort but not portability. Inflatable pillows are portable but don't actually support your back. Everything else is a bean bag built for a living room that happens to come in bright colors.
That gap is the whole reason Solara exists.

Once your return is received and inspected, approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
We cover shipping if the item arrived damaged, incorrect, or defective. For change-of-mind returns, return shipping is the customer's responsibility and original shipping is non-refundable.
